APPLICATION

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

All Applicants must meet the following criterion:

•    Currently attending a public or public charter school in the
      Washington DC Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA), which
      includes the District of Columbia and following MD / VA
      counties:

       MD:  Calvert, Charles, Frederick, Montgomery, Prince George's
       VA:   Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, Prince William, Stafford, Alexandria,
               Fairfax City, Falls Church, Manassas City,Manassas Park City

•     Graduating high school senior

•     Accepted to an accredited institution of higher learning that offers a
      Certificate, Associate, or Bachelor Degree in architecture, engineering,
      construction management, or a qualified construction trade school and
      planning to pursue a degree in one of the above fields

•     A minority

•     Demonstrate academic growth (in lieu of requiring a specific
       GPA minimum) throughout the high school academic years

•     Demonstrate involvement in the community

•     US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Current college students are not eligible to apply

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

Each student will be required to complete the following:

•     Application must be submitted online through the link above.
       No mailed applications will be accepted.

•     Submit 3 Essays (700 – 1000 words each)

•     Submit Transcripts (past 4 years)

•     Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a
       teacher, principal, or other school professional.

Unofficial transcripts and recommendation letters are acceptable for the
application. MTTG will verify all transcripts and letters prior to the
Scholarship award
